Cheap 'Waiting For You' (Peru)
She gazes at a note taped to the wall as she holds a white cloth in both hands. Juan Sandoval depicts his subject in profile revealing her advanced state of pregnancy. A sense of longing pervades this cryptic portrait. You can see how anxious she is to hold her baby in her arms.
